How to Make a Million Online

pexels-photo-259027Let’s face it, we all love the idea of making a quick buck, taking early retirement, and jetting off to see the world. It’s a rather utopian dream, but it’s by no means out of reach thanks to the advent of 21st-century connectivity. The internet is full of possibilities.

One thing that most millionaires have in common is that they are prepared to take calculated risks to reach their goals. If you’re not prepared to push the boundaries, it’s unlikely that you will ever earn such a significant amount of money in any other way than inheriting it.

So, if you’re an aspiring entrepreneur that’s got the drive and ambition to make some big money online, what are the best ways to go about it in 2017?

Forex trading, or the trading of foreign currencies, is fast becoming one of the most lucrative ways to make a million on the internet. Although there is an element of risk involved, it’s possible to learn how to trade Forex without even using any of your own cash. In fact, most online trading platforms and software enable new users to practice their trades using dummy money before dabbling in the real markets. Bear in mind, though, to make a decent sum of money, you will be required to deposit a sizeable amount of money to trade with from the outset – approximately $12,800. But then again, what other start-up businesses are out there that you can make six figure profits with without investing a similar sum of money? Very few indeed!

It’s also possible to make a fortune online by becoming good at playing poker. There are dozens of multimillion-dollar winners from online poker tournaments out there, including Tyson “POTTERPOKER” Marks, Yevgeniy “Jovial Gent” Timoshenko, and Jonas “IIJaYJaYII” Lauck. Despite the success of “POTTERPOKER,” arguably the most famous amateur poker player to win big at the tables was Chris Moneymaker. He entered an $86 online satellite to qualify for the World Series of Poker Main Event in 2003 and the rest, as they say, is history, as he scooped a whopping $2.5 million. There are many other online poker “grinders” that play the game day in, day out, multi-tabling cash games on a number of desktop computer screens and if you consider yourself competent with numbers, it’s a game you can easily pick up and succeed in.

If you’re an aspiring journalist, writer, or you’re just downright opinionated, becoming an online blogger can generate big bucks if you’re cute with the way you operate your website. The most successful bloggers will incorporate click-bait headlines into their articles that entice readers to enter your website and delve in. These headlines also make articles infinitely more shareable across social channels. Just look at blogging supreme, Scott DeLong, who founded ViralNova. He regularly attracts 100 million visitors to his blog each month, largely through Facebook referral traffic, which he is able to monetize through Google’s AdSense by getting paid $2 for every thousand page views. In 2014, DeLong admitted that he was preparing to sell his blog that’s competed impressively with the likes of BuzzFeed and Upworthy. It was eventually sold for roughly $100 million to the digital media company Zealot Networks!

Fancy yourself as an idea person? If you believe you have what it takes to invent the next digital craze, why not see if others agree with your idea? Submit your concept to sites such as Kickstarter or Indiegogo to see if it generates interest. Crowdfunding sites like these help you to raise money from the crowdfunding community who commit to investing in your idea, provided a set amount of money is raised. Even the Pebble Watch started as a small acorn on Kickstarter, eventually raising almost $10 million in less than a month!

Today’s connectivity should be embraced, not discouraged. Every day online is an opportunity to make money–with a positive, proactive mindset you can achieve anything you set your mind to. So, go make some money online!
